March is always a crazy weather month for Northeast Florida, temps going from cold to hot and back again. Winds can be slick calm one day blowing a gale the next. We have seen all of the above as of lately. Fishing has been about the same. Sheepshead are around although the big numbers are not making it to the fillet table. Still hoping they will fire off any day. Trout are getting better by the day with some nice specks around, a live shrimp is hard to beat but they will eat a variety of artificial as well. Seen a few random Spanish around the inlet but still a little early for them. Pogie's have been around although can be tricky to catch on a cold windy morning. Mid-morning with calm conditions and warmer temps usually help with that. They are still on the small side not really adequate to troll but great for bottom baits. Stay safe out there!
