Captain Buzz Brannon
I have been finding good numbers of 18-20 inch speckled trout in the Cabbage Creek and Pablo Creek systems. ( areas) I have been targeting the last of the incoming and the first of the falling tide. The more tidal flow the better. I have most of my clients using a 1/4 oz Jig with a live mud minnow fished slowly on the bottom in the deeper creek bends (holes) 8-10’ deep. Pitching the baits just out side of visible eddys and jigging it slowly off the bottom has been the most effective presentation. This week we have good tides in the middle of the day so I expect the spring trout bite to only get better.
