Fishing has been really good this past week. We landed many redfish oversized, undersized and just the right size. Some of the best action and fun we had was on top water. Nothing like seeing a top water lure getting crushed by a 28 inch redfish in shallow water next to the grass. The last third of the out going tide as well as the first half of incoming tide all up and down the intercoastal was productive this past week. We also landed some flounder and trout most days we were on the water. Give us a call !

Captain Kirk Waltz fishing report 4/21/2025

Captain Kirk Waltz 9046261128 www.enterprisefishingcharters.com   Mayport/ Jacksonville The warm weather this week definitely helped with the temperature of the water but, continued cool nights have only allowed it to warm slightly. The huge moon phase we just went through has hampered the bite somewhat. Decent numbers of fish are around but, it’s required work and lots of patience. Fiddlers, shrimp and cut crab have been effective but bite is still slow. Try using float rigs on high water around the rocks for trout, reds, and even some small tarpon with the peanut pogies that are available or a live shrimp. The Spanish have been hit and miss but that should improve. The nearshore offshore bottom bite has been very good for snapper, seabass and bluefish but it’s strictly catch and release.

Captain Buzz Brannon Fishing report 4/21/2025

Captain Buzz Brannon www.northeastangling.com 9045707878 Fishing this past week for redfish remains solid. We found redfish still in good numbers in both the intercoastal and small creeks during the dropping and incoming tide. Over sized, under sized and just the perfect size redfish were found all week long. Shrimp on jig head was the ticket.

Captain Tommy Derringer 4/21/2025 fishing report

Captain Tommy Derringer www.inshoreadventures.net 9043773734 Things are warming back up this week… The wind has switched back around out of the south and we’re getting a taste of the early parts of summer this week. The fishing last week and over the weekend was fantastic for me in the south end of Saint Augustine. We were chasing large schools of redfish up very shallow. I was fishing out of my Maverick skiff and that was a good thing because we got up super skinny to find some big redfish laid up. We were mostly tossing some of the new Gulp products at those skinny water redfish. The new nemesis prawn is an absolute fish slayer. As this week goes on the tide is going to be ideal to get out early and toss a top water plug. My favorites for this time of year are definitely the Berkeley J-Walker 120 and the 100. I prefer the 120 when the tide is up a little higher and if it’s a little shallow I’ll switch to the smaller 100 size. If you can find mudminnows that seems to be the live ...
