Fishing this past week for redfish remains solid. We found redfish still in good numbers in both the intercoastal and small creeks during the dropping and incoming tide. Over sized, under sized and just the perfect size redfish were found all week long. Shrimp on jig head was the ticket.

Captain Buzz Brannon 9045707878 www.northeastflorida.com Be it Flies, soft plastics and live shrimp the redfish and trout bite was solid this past week. Finding fish moving into the shallow flats on incoming tide was really productive. Depending on wind and tide water clarity ranged from clear to muddy but the fish are hungry. We found fish everyday we fished all up and down the intercoastal from Beach Blvd North to Sisters creek.

Captain Brett Cannon /Dave Gourley Fishing report 3/12/25

www,atlanticcoastmarine.com   9042210793 With water and outside temps on the rise redfish are active. The problem has been the wind and weather this past week. We found a few windows of opportunity in between poor conditions with the dropping or incoming tide to cast a fly. Key is to find some water sheltered from the wind at a good tide. Clear water and clear skies we were casting lighter colored shrimp patterns and in the off colored water and darker sky we have been throwing purple and black flies. Name of the game with a fly is stealth and shallow.

Captain Kirk Waltz fishing report 4/21/2025

Captain Kirk Waltz 9046261128 www.enterprisefishingcharters.com   Mayport/ Jacksonville The warm weather this week definitely helped with the temperature of the water but, continued cool nights have only allowed it to warm slightly. The huge moon phase we just went through has hampered the bite somewhat. Decent numbers of fish are around but, it’s required work and lots of patience. Fiddlers, shrimp and cut crab have been effective but bite is still slow. Try using float rigs on high water around the rocks for trout, reds, and even some small tarpon with the peanut pogies that are available or a live shrimp. The Spanish have been hit and miss but that should improve. The nearshore offshore bottom bite has been very good for snapper, seabass and bluefish but it’s strictly catch and release.
